The pros of blogging

Here are some reasons why blogging is good for learning:
Blogging is a really good learning tool for mature learners because it improves punctuation because all our work on our blog has to be perfect so we learn our punctuation and spelling. Blogging also improves our story/report writing skills because we blog with a story and we share that story on the Internet so we improve because we are writing a story every time we blog.
So if you don't already have a blog it is a good idea because it helps learning skills and it is a fun hobby!

Traits of a quality learner.

Do you know what a successful learner does to be successful? Successful learners listen to all instructions and settle into tasks quickly and quietly. They produce high quality work to get top marks. Learners never ever stop until it is the highest standard and they are proud of what they have done and achieved! To be successful you must use the 16 habits of mind: Manage self, Using senses to learn, Persisting, Participating and contributing ETC.

WALT: To be a successful learner all throughout life.

HWIK: Your work will always be perfect in your eyes and you will learn and achieve to your full potential

Today in the ICT suite we played around with some wordles on our blogs.

Wordles are a jumble of words put together unique for your website. My friend and i decided on the ones we really liked and mr w00dy helped us upload them.

Succesful Learning

What is a successful learner is it someone who is always listening? or is it someone who's work is always on time and done to the highest standard?

In class we did a unit on successful learning. We had to create a learners profile and integrate ICT. I made a certificate for my learners profile to outline the traits of a successful learner. Here it is!

Hey!

Mr w00dy made and interesting statement in class today that disruptive boys work better when on the computer independently is this true or false?
I think it is true because i think boys have a fascination with ICT and using it to do their work but i don't know everybody thinks differently.

Successful Learning

Hi!

In class we are doing a unit on successful learning. Black wolf and I are working together on our presentation of successful learning virtues. We have to explain what a successful learner does and how they learn. We also have to present it using ICT!
We have decided to a certificate awarding someone for their successful learning!

We will put our completed presentation on our blogs sometime so look out for it!
